That in our daily lives, we may shine the light of the resurrection to
others through acts of kindness, sharing our faith, and inviting
someone to experience the joy of our community.
That, following the example of Jesus, we may help others carry their
crosses this week by being patient, listening with care, forgiving
quickly, and helping those in need.
That, as Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, we recognize Christ's call to arise from death and darkness in our own lives and to do works that bring newness of life to our relationships and our world.
That as we are called to be instruments of peace, we may choose words that heal rather than hurt, speak with gentleness and charity, and refrain from harsh language and rash judgment.
This Lent, may we actively practice prayer, fasting, and almsgiving each day by making time for God through prayer, serving others with love, and opening our eyes to the needs around us.
