A Summer Celebration of Community - August 9 from 11:30 AM - 3 PM
We invite everyone to come together for an afternoon of food, fellowship, and fun, as part of its ongoing 140th anniversary celebration. On Sunday, August 9th, parishioners will gather at the Ellsworth McAfee Park Pavilion (135 Fields) in Northborough for a cookout designed to bring people of all ages together to celebrate our history, our friendships and the spirit of love that has carried St. Rose forward for 140 years. St. Rose will supply a traditional cookout menu featuring hamburgers and hot dogs, which our Knights have volunteered to cook. We will also be providing a special surprise dessert for attendees to enjoy. Parishioners are encouraged to add their own favorites by bringing beverages and other picnic dishes to share. Please note that no alcohol or glass containers are allowed in the park. The pavilion offers shade and picnic tables that can accommodate up to 80 people, and others are welcome to bring blankets or chairs to relax on the grass nearby. In addition to everything the park has to offer, including basketball, volleyball, pickleball, a skate park, and a playground, there will also be music and a variety of field games such as cornhole, ladderball, and badminton. Those planning to attend can sign up after Mass or by contacting the parish office directly at (508) 393-2413. Advance sign-ups will help ensure that there is plenty of food and seating for everyone. Whether you’re a long-time parishioner or new to the community, we hope to see you for what is sure to be a delightful afternoon of celebration.
