Sunday, September 20, 2026, 10:00 AMOn September 18, 1886, Bishop Patrick Thomas O'Reilly, the Bishop of the Diocese of Springfield, elevated St. Rose of Lima from a “mission church” of St. Luke’s in Westborough to the status of an independent parish. Father James McCloskey was appointed as the very first pastor of St. Rose of Lima.
